"Nail Concept." 10.25 in x 6.75 in x 6.75 in. The center of the box is an old rusted nail that I found on the ground of The Getty Center while I was taking a walk. Each side shows different ways of looking at the nail. The front is an image copy of the nail. The right side is a random story of where the nail has been. The back has a hole in the shape of the nail. Looking through it gives one a real sense of the nail since there's no glass that comes between the viewer and the nail. Finally the left side shows a diagram of the nail and its parts. The whole idea of this piece is that there are different sides to everything just depends on who and how you look at it.

"Thanks For Asking." 24 in x 36 in. This piece was supposed to be all red text with a light brown background. It proved to be very tedious and time consuming and I wasn't sure it was coming out the way I like. In the process I decided to wipe the work out completely, but as I did the piece started to look much better. It started to look like the back of a person to me, so that's when I decided to create an outline of someone about to shake hands. The text is a mix of what people say in a social context.
