"I Am...(27 HIV Positive/ AIDS Thumb Prints)." I have made something similar of this piece before except that was done with random people. I was commisioned to do a piece for an AIDS awareness art show (I did two, the other one being the "We Haven't Done Enough"). The concept is to have the person's thumb prints and fill in the sentence, "I am..."

"Purgatory (Book 1)." This is part of the Heaven, Hell, Purgatory series. Being in Purgatory is being in limbo. You're neither in Hell nor Heaven. A lot of waiting involve and what better place to wait than in a library.

"If We Escape It Would Be Just Another End." 8.75 in x 10.75 in. Another one from the Escape series.
"If We Escape I Can Pretend You And I Still Exist," first of the Escape series. 11.75 in x 14.75 in. I found this chain in the gutter near home. There was nothing else around it to connect the chain to. Somehow this chain lent itself to this piece.

"Nail Concept." 10.25 in x 6.75 in x 6.75 in. The center of the box is an old rusted nail that I found on the ground of The Getty Center while I was taking a walk. Each side shows different ways of looking at the nail. The front is an image copy of the nail. The right side is a random story of where the nail has been. The back has a hole in the shape of the nail. Looking through it gives one a real sense of the nail since there's no glass that comes between the viewer and the nail. Finally the left side shows a diagram of the nail and its parts. The whole idea of this piece is that there are different sides to everything just depends on who and how you look at it.

"Thanks For Asking." 24 in x 36 in. This piece was supposed to be all red text with a light brown background. It proved to be very tedious and time consuming and I wasn't sure it was coming out the way I like. In the process I decided to wipe the work out completely, but as I did the piece started to look much better. It started to look like the back of a person to me, so that's when I decided to create an outline of someone about to shake hands. The text is a mix of what people say in a social context.
"Scaffolds and Faces." 16 3/4 in x 20 3/4 in. The portraits are taken from my class picture in preschool, including our teacher/advisor. I still remember most of their names, but I do wonder what has become of them.

"A Door And A Window." I made this specifically as a house warming gift to a friend of mine. This was done over a mass produced "painting," the ones that you see sold in stores. The reddish border shows the surface of what it was once.

"...And There Was A Collision." This is the last of the Collision series. After the crash there are pieces of things you see on the floor. All of the five pieces are on canvas.
"The Rumbling Of The Ground..."
"The Panicking Of The Ants..." from the Collision series. The images from the first three pieces are from Leonardo's drawings.

"The Disturbance Of The Birds Signaled The Impact." The second one of the Collision series.
"There Is A Collision". 12 in x 12.in This is the first one of five of the Collision series. Each piece was inspired by each line of the poetry I wrote.

"Universe Exploding." 7.5 in. x 5 in. A collage on a ceramic vase.
"Heaven (book 1)." The text is a passage from Dante.
